Is this a Rumour? I don't know.

I read this in The Standard online news. Is this true or just a rumour? How come as a member of the Election Committee I have not even been informed?

Tsang plans forum with poll body

Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam- kuen's campaign office is to hold a forum for the 800 members of the Election Committee on February 2 - a day after an election rally by Tsang.

... According to one of Tsang's close aides, the chief executive will declare his candidacy on February 1 with a detailed electoral platform. The following day, duplicating the format for the June 2005 election, Executive Council convenor Leung Chun-ying will host the "Forum for the 800" to which Leong will be invited.
"Leong, like `Long Hair' [Leung Kwok-hung], will have a chance to ask questions from the floor as an ex-officio member of the 796-strong Election Committee," sources close to Tsang said Wednesday.

.... Subsequent closed-door meetings with 38 subsector members will be held early next month, as Tsang steps up his electioneering to lobby for as much support as possible before nominations for the chief executive race begin on Valentine's Day.
