The Information Society We Want

EC members submitted a policy recommendation paper “The Information Society We Want” to Mr. Alan Leong the CE Candidate. Alan accepted the proposal and agreed to incorporate it as part of his policy platform.

IT Voice 六位和另外三位資訊科技界選委莫乃光、龍家麟和Robin Sarah Bradbeer，向特首候選人梁家傑遞交資訊科技政策建議，我和其中五位並於2月15日約見梁家傑，解釋建議的內容。

值得高興的是，梁家傑最後同意，特區政府應以發展香港成為「資訊社會」為政策藍本，以提升本地人才的競爭力。為了達至「資訊社會」這目標，梁家傑接納我們提出多項的政策建議，包括：
• 提升資訊基建，以支援各種嶄新技術和科技應用系統
• 進一步推行以市民為本的電子政府計劃
• 鼓勵私營機構，尤其是中小型企業，更廣泛採納資訊科技
• 創造公平和有利競爭的營商環境，讓資訊科技業和創意工業長足發展
• 加強推動創新文化
• 培育通曉資訊科技技能的人力資源和知識型經濟所需的人才
• 致力建立安全而可靠的網絡社會
• 捍衛網絡世界的資訊自由、自主、公民權利和私隱
